US Researcher Inspired by Local Evangelisation Project
An easy read but with an important message - "Tell them, teach them the doctrines of the Church from Grade 1 in its fullness and precise language of the catechism, and if we do this, they will conform their life to the doctrines", (CathNews, March 2018) does not work. Too many young people still leave school and leave their faith. Over the past years their has been a deep discussion during liturgy meetings at my local parish about the need to give young people a way to interact with their faith once they have received the four sacraments. (Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation) I believe this problem reaches far beyond one parish. My hope is that the ECSI enables us to open the dialog with out community and together reach a deep understanding of our Catholic faith that allows us to live in our world in full witness of our faith.
